UVMMC Emergency Room Peer Recovery Coaches Connect and Provide Support
One of the many activities we are doing during this time of unprecedented concern is to reach out to the more than 580 patients that we have connected with over the past 18 months as part of our Peer Recovery Coaching Program at the Emergency Department of the UVMMC. To our delight many of the people we have reconnected with are asking for support. Once we have a request for support, the person is connected with one of our Peer Recovery Support Specialists who keeps connected to the former patient for as long as they want that support. Making lemonade out of lemons!!!
